Joan Rivers is filling in for Johnny Carson today. It’s a best of May 28th Morning Chalkboard. I woke up on the living room floor between Fritz and Hazel. Bits of popcorn in my mouth and a television remote under my hip.
There will be many mornings where I’ll be able to wake up with a naked lady. The days are numbered where I can wake up between my children.
Today is the Indy 500… I miss AJ Foyt zipping around the track. I miss Jim Nabors singing “Back home Again in Indiana.” I miss Jim Garner driving the pace car. I miss Paul Newman walking around the garages. I miss hearing Tom Carnegie’s voice. I miss my Gramma and her transistor radio sitting on the porch at 6130 Indianola.
