July 11th, 2023

One of you Chalkheads recently put up a post about Kermit the Frog. How if maybe we acted more like Kermit we’d be better people.

Kermit had a creative edge, but didn’t suffer from an inflated ego. Every Muppet Show went on and though there might have been some hiccups, Kermit directed everyone successfully without losing his cool. He treated everyone equally. From George Burns to Fozzie Bear and everyone in between, Kermit treated them with class and dignity.
Kermit recognized the unique talent of those around him. He brought the best out of all the characters on the show. Even the talentless Miss Piggy looked brilliant under Kermit’s tutelage.
Weirdos from near and far were attracted to Kermit’s calm demeanor. Kermit managed the chaos backstage and made all of those around him better.
Most of all Kermit the Frog was sincere and he was kind. He was considerate to everyone….even the two old jagoffs up in the box seats.
Whenever I hear, “Daddy, sing me a song for night night….please!”
The last song I sing is “Rainbow Connection.”
This was Kermit at his best. Sitting on a log in the swamp singing a song that makes everything a little Mo Betta.
It is Tuesday, July 11th…. let’s go be Kermit the Frog today. we are never too old to hangout with Muppets.
Someday we will find it, the rainbow connection. The lovers, the dreamers and me!
