Today I’m going with another song and this will finish the attention that I’ve given to the movie “Love Actually.” Yesterday “Both Sides Now” was received well and today we are going with the song from the end of the movie.
I didn’t know this was a Beach Boys song until I was in my early 20’s. That is when I discovered their album “Pet Sounds” which was an inspiration for The Beatles “Sergeant Pepper” album.
The Beach Boy sing this line over and over throughout the song. It makes me think… most of the people that I've met in my life was by pure accident. Some have stuck around and a few have left the building.
I would never have ended up in Riverside with three beautiful children if I didn’t go through a train wreck of a marriage.
God only knows where I'd be without out you.... I'll leave it at that.
Tonight I’m meeting up with a group of guys I’ve known for a long time. I met one of them and that one guy introduced me to his buddy who introduced me to his brother who introduced me to his buddy and then I met a couple guys from the neighborhood and so on and so on and so on....
The Boys from Oak Park known as The Wild Turkeys.
God only knows what I’d be without them. Everyone of them comes from a solid family and everyone of them has raised a good family. Everyone of them brought me into their family.
God only knows what I'd be without them....
We will be at The James Joyce filming “The Joe Costello Birthday” Dance and celebrating the life of Mrs. Haas. We will toast memories and make fun of each other. It’s going to be a horrible hangover tomorrow morning……
God only knows what I’d be without YOU and I think I’m a better man because I do know many of you.
