Today is “Louie, Louie” Day. A song that most of us associate with a toga. I think the therapy session today is centered around being Earwormed with this song.
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Me gotta go
Fine little girl waits for me
Catch a ship across the sea
Sail that ship about, all alone
Never know if I make it home
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go
I never knew these lyrics until Google. They were never on any album cover and I don’t think I’ve ever sung this song Sober.
As for my Toga… it’s lost forever.
I had an Izod Toga back in the 1980’s.
My Gramma took an old Izod shirt and sewed the alligator on the front and the label on the back part of my toga. I had a perfectly hemmed toga for keg parties courtesy of Loretta Zoellner.
If you really want to take #LouieLouieDay serious you should make a video of yourself singing the song and then post it on YouTube.
Or just sing it to your cat.
It was a gorgeous night to sleep with the window open. I get up so early the birds are still sleeping. Maybe I’ll wake them up with a rendition of “Louie, Louie?”
It’s so nice getting into Betty in just a light coat and a Sox hat. I get tired of wearing a heavy winter coat when I’m driving.
Alright Tuesday morning…. I’m already in, in a daydream. All you Chalkheads enjoy this weather. Me gotta go ah yeah yeah yeah yeah!
