It’s a new quarter, a new month, a new week and a new baseball season. In the next couple weeks the trees will have new buds appearing on their branches.
Spring is in the air.
Spring break is over and I gotta cut this short today and go make George his lunch.
Take it easy on the mustard this afternoon. You don’t need to start the season with a yellow blob streaking down your jacket.
I’ve been watching Chicago baseball for fifty years now. In those fifty years each side of town has been champion only once.
Pretty discouraging if you look at it that way.
So don’t!
Look at it as fifty clean slates that have given you great memories. Fifty opportunities to go to the ballpark and forget the troubles in your world. We are lucky to have two great parks and two storied teams just eight miles apart on the CTA.
