Pulling out a little Leo "Big Toe" Tolstoy on the first friday of the lusty month of May, that lovely month when everyone goes blissfully astray.
Big Toe is telling us that strength grows in perseverance and allowing things to unfold with time. Patience keeps us from making stupid decisions, while time allows us to grow, heal and resolve life's challenges. As we get older we are losing time, but learning how to use it for our advantage.
The last weekend of my "Sixty Days of Celebrating Cecilia" is finally here. The temptation of mint juleps won't/will be a challenge, but I can do it for my Ma.....
The Kentucky Oaks is tonight and the favorite is "Good Cheer." Tomorrow is the Derby and "Journalism" is the favorite in the run for the roses.
